Sarah Timm Howe, 97, of Fort Sumner, died Thursday, April 28, 2005, at Retirement Ranch in Clovis.
She was born on Sept. 22, 1907, in Lawton, Okla., to Arthur G. and Dora Moore Wright.
When she was 6, her family moved to Fort Sumner in a covered wagon. She lived in or near Fort Sumner until May 13, 1998, when she moved to the Retirement Ranch. She married Criss C. Timm on May 19, 1928. She married Melvin G. Howe on May 22, 1970, in Fort Sumner. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fort Sumner, Ranch Friends Club, and the Order of the Eastern Star.
Family members said she enjoyed playing cards and dominos, and was an excellent cook.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; a son, Marshall Howe; and five brothers, Walter, Loyd, Edd, Cleo, and Leo Wright.
Survivors include a daughter, Mona Pomeroy (and husband, Harry) of Clovis; four grandchildren, Marsha Pomeroy-Huff (Clifford) of Pittsburgh, Pa., Suzie Pomeroy Brown (Robert) of Lovington, Cory Howe (Bobbi) of Racine, Wis., Malinda Figg (Brett) of Platteville, Colo.; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The Rev. Jim Peabody will officiate the services.
Burial will be at Fort Sumner Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Bob and Bill West, Powhatan Carter III, A.J. Killough, Bob Addison and Gerald Don Cortese.

The family will be at 1512 Kingston Place in Clovis.
Visitation is from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. Sunday at Chavez Funeral Home in Fort Sumner. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
