Robert “Bobby” Jordan, 67, of Indio, Calif., died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2005, at his home.

He was born on July, 20, 1937, in Hugo, Okla., to Harry and Agnes Jordan.

The family moved to Portales in 1941 where he attended elementary and junior high schools. The family moved to Fort Sumner in 1952. He graduated from Fort Sumner High School in 1956. He earned abachelor and masters degrees from New Mexico State University. He married Corinne Rogers in 1959 and they moved to Indio, Calif., in 1966. He retired in May 2004 after serving 38 years with the College of the Desert in Palm Desert, Calif.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Jack Jordan of Crystal City, Calif.; a daughter, Jeanette Wilcox of Palm Desert; five granddaughters; a brother, Hank Jordan of Melrose; and three sisters, Pat Terry of Portales, Judy Walker of Abilene, Texas, and Vicki Hobbs of Park City, Kan.
