Earl Porter McCuiston, 79, of Clovis, died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2005, at his home.
He was born on Dec. 10, 1925, in Paris, Tenn., to Aubery Porter and Mary Elizabeth Allen McCuiston.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a seaman first class. He married Pearline Bridges on Jan. 31, 1992, in Farwell. He came to Clovis in 1983 from Michigan. He was a truck driver for the Michigan Delivery Company until his retirement. He was a member of the V.F.W. 3280. Family members said he loved hunting and all sports.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Dorris and Jack; and three sisters, Elizabeth, Gertrude, and Willie B.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Larry Earl McCuiston of Henderson, Ky., Thomas Allan McCuiston (and wife, Diane) and Greg McCuiston, all of Coldwater, Mich., and Gary McCuiston (Donna) of Westbrook, Mich.; two daughters, Joan Schram of Pinkney, Mich. and Mary Ann Henson (Jack) of Taylor, Mich.; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Cecil Bunch will officiate the services.
Cremation will take place following services.
