Rex Ivey

Services: 4 p.m. (CST) today at Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel in Lubbock.

Rex Allen Ivey, 65, of Clovis, died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.

He was born on Dec. 23, 1939, in Pettit, Texas, to Bervel and Mildred Ivey.

He married Linda Sue Baer on Sept. 18, 1965. He was raised in Littlefield, Texas. He owned a tax and bookkeeping service in Roswell for 30 years. He was active in the Midday Lions Club and was a member of the 16th and Pile Church of Christ in Clovis.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Reushawn Ivey-Kennett; and by his father.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Allen Ivey (and wife, Kathy); a granddaughter, Taylor; his mother, Mildred Ivey of Littlefield; two sisters, Marsha Jones (Roger) of Littlefield, and Kathy Skinner (Ronald) of Grapevine, Texas; and nieces and nephews.

Jim Gammon will officiate the services assisted by his nephew, Kerry Jones.

Pallbearers are David Therrien, Eldon West, Benny Zahn, Joe and Andrew Manzanares and Doug James.

Memorial contributions may be made to the 16th and Pile Church of Christ in Clovis.

Arrangements are by Resthaven Funeral Home of Lubbock.
