Mr. Roy G. Landess Sr., 75, of Clovis, died Monday, Dec. 27, 2004, at Prairie Acres in Friona, Texas.

He was born on June 22, 1929, in Roosevelt County, to Boss and Bessie Landess. He went to work for the Santa Fe Railroad in 1955 and retired in 1991 as a conductor. He was a lifetime member of the Elks and a member of the First Christian Church. Family members said he loved football and was an avid Clovis Wildcats fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and four brothers, Gene, Sam, Alvin and Raymond.

Survivors include a son; Roy G. Landess, Jr. (and wife, Luanne) of Clovis; two grandsons, Skyler and Trace Landess; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place.

Condolences may be sent to 3000 Duckworth Ave. in Clovis.

The family requests that a memory be included.
