Christopher “Chris” Garcia, 36, of Clovis, died Sunday, Nov. 21, 2004 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.

He was born June 12, 1968, in Clovis. His father was Sotero Garcia; his mother was Dolores Tapia. He married Sandra Garcia on July 15, 2000, in Clovis. He was a wood worker and family members said he was a jack of all trades. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe, and American Legion No. 25. Family members said he loved spending time with his family. He was raised in Amarillo, Garden City, Kan., and Clovis.

He is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Mary Garcia and Irene Lopez.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Ernie, D.J., and “Lil” Chris Garcia all of Clovis; a daughter, Stephanie Garcia of Amarillo; his parents, Sotero and Diana Garcia of Garden City, Kan.; his mother, Dolores Ruiz of Clovis; a brother, Paul Garcia of Garden City, Kan.; three sisters, Denise Garcia of Mesa, Ariz., Irene Garcia, and Davina A. Garcia both of Clovis; grandparents, Isidro and Rose Garcia of Clovis.

Rosary will be held at 7 p.m., today, at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Clovis.

Father Sotero Sena will officiate the services.

Burial will follow at Mission Garden of Memories in Clovis.

Pallbearers will be Paul Garcia, Robert Reyes, Daniel Tapia Sr., Max Chavez, Albert Dodge and, Mark Chavez.

Honorary pallbearers include Henry Gonzales and Sal Luna.

Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis.
