Blondell Decker, 83

Mrs. Blondell Decker, 83, of Clovis, died Sunday, Dec. 26, 2004, at Laurel Ridge Health Care in Clovis.

She was born on March 24, 1921, in Lamesa, Texas, to Cora and Alvin E. Jeter. She was raised west of Portales and attended school in Portales for much of her education. During the last year of high school she attended school in Albuquerque where she graduated. For much of her life she made Portales her home. For a number of years she was a waitress at Coats and Coats Truck Stop Café. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. Family members said she enjoyed the fellowship at the Portales Senior Citizens. She married Robert Decker in Portales on Jan. 11, 1999.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Troy D. Jeter; and a sister, Marvie E. Cline.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Cora Lee Foster (and husband, Richard) of Fort Sumner; two grandchildren, Amberly Busby and Chana Ryen; and two great-grandchildren, Scott Michael Busby and Nevaeh Coronado.

No services will be held.
