Serving Clovis, Portales and the Surrounding Communities
Students have an important week at Broad Horizons. The afternoon classes, consisting of third, fourth and fifth periods, will be taking their course final exams on Thursday. The morning classes, first and second periods, will take their finals on Friday. Teachers will be working to complete the lessons, facilitate students with make-up work, and review material for the finals.
Friday is an early release day, so students will be dismissed for the Christmas Holiday at 11:30 a.m. Students and parents, please be aware that Thursday and Friday are important days to attend school. Students must be present on those days to finalize credits for their respective classes. Makeup exams will be given only in exceptional cases and with approval from the principal.
A new semester begins in January and with it comes an array of opportunities. Students are encouraged to consider their future and take interest in one or more of the career preparation classes offered at Broad Horizons. The students should already be aware of the courses that are available to them, but are encouraged to ask if they are unsure. We ask that parents and guardians encourage students to prepare for the future by considering their career interest now.
We would also like to extend an enrollment invitation to young people in the area that would like to take advantage of an opportunity to complete the credits they need for a high school diploma. Interview days for the spring classes are Jan. 5-7.
