Nov. 17 Dora News

There is mud all over our area and there are many muddy bus routes and roads for people to get out on for church and to their work places. Some seniors on Sunday did not venture out for fear of being stranded, as there was some fog. Later, a drizzle took place of the fog, which made visibility much better. However, it only added more moisture to the roads.

On the bright side, the moisture is great on pastures and wheat and to add to our underground moisture and streams for irrigation replenishing needs. Some crops, however, need dry, warm days and sunshine so the harvest can be completed on milo and cotton.

Prayer needs

There are several on our prayer list for cancer, heart attacks, kidney transplant, accident injuries, illnesses, hospital and rest homes. Other have lost loved ones. All needs are urgent so please remember them daily.

Continue to pray for Kevin and Molly Victor as they wait a few more days for the birth of their new baby.

Sympathy

To the family of Don and Vanette in the loss of her father, Jay Meadows. Jay lived in Dora for several years before moving to Golden Acres.

Also, to Danny and Lisa Inge’s family in the passing of her father in Tucumcari.

Sunday dinner

There will be a Thanksgiving dinner Sunday at the Dora Baptist Church. Bring a covered dish and plan to stay after morning church worship for the fellowship. There will be no evening worship.
