Football

The Floyd Broncos were victorious over Mountainair, 49-16. The undefeated Broncos will play for the state title against Melrose at Floyd Saturday at noon. KSEL 95.3’s Doc and Kevin will be broadcasting the game live.

Veteran’s Day

The school would like to invite the community and all surrounding areas to a Veteran’s Day program Friday at 6:30 p.m. in the Old Gym. It’s a program by the students to pay tribute to veterans.

Community building

The holidays are approaching fast. If you need a place to have a large get together, there are still some slots open to use the Community Building. Call Toni at 478-2585 for more information or to reserve the building.

• Condolences go out to the families of the victims of the recent automobile accidents: Aaron LaRue, Dathan Garcia, Russell Dwain and Levi Downey.

• The Fire Department’s new ambulance has arrived!

• Area farmers have been very busy. Peanuts are being thrashed and hay grazer is finally getting baled after many rain delays.
