Lennie Mae Woollums, 84, of Fort Sumner, died Friday, Oct. 22, 2004, in Lubbock.

She was born on Aug. 16, 1920, in House, to Robert L. and Maggie Rosetta Baker.

She attended school in Taiban and graduated from high school in 1940. She married Jewell A. Woollums on Aug. 31, 1941, in Clovis. They made their home in Fort Sumner in 1955.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Sandra K. Jones; a brother, James William Baker; and a sister, Lois Fay Baker.

Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Jean Landrum of Fort Sumner; three grandchildren, Kellie Evetts Bruce of Lubbock, John Richard Bruce of Marshall, Texas, and Gary Wayne Bruce of Melrose; three great-grandchildren, Garrett, Reid, Travis and Derek Bruce and Vincent Sena; a son-in-law, Champ Landrum; a brother, Robert Baker; two sisters, Bille Jean Hamer of Slaton, Texas and Betty Lee Wilton of Fort Sumner; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of relatives and friends.

The Rev. Jim Peabody will officiate the services.

Burial will be at Fort Sumner Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Benjie, John and Cody Jay, Tom and Mike Wilton, Dennis Hamer, Ronnie Baker, and Reid, Garrett, and Travis Bruce.

Arrangements are by Chavez Funeral Home of Fort Sumner.
