Joe Bollinger, 74, of Phoenix, died Sunday, Oct. 10, 2004, in Phoenix.
He was born on April 25, 1930, in Portales, to Ruben and Josie Bollinger.
Family members said he was optimistic, had a creative spirit and a thirst for learning.
Survivors include two brothers; five children; 26 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were by Chapel of the Chimes of Glendale, Ariz.
