Mrs. Gloria Jean DuBose, 57, of Clovis, died Saturday, Oct. 23, 2004, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis.

She was born on Jan. 30, 1947, in Fairfield, Ill., to Gaylord and Virginia Jones Singleterry.

She was a longtime Clovis resident. She married Alvin DuBose in September of 1986. Family members said she loved sports and founded the Clovis Women’s League Softball Association in 1976, loved to stay at home and travel.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Alta Pond.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Michele Pogue (and husband, Michael) of Clovis; a son, John Willett of Clovis; three brothers, Danny Singleterry of Portales and Curtis and Earl Singleterry, both of Belen; two sisters, Jenny Reeves of Clovis and Dian Forsythe of Los Angeles; four grandchildren, Jenifer, Jaymi and Matthew Pogue and Hunter Willett.

The Rev. Donald Hay will officiate the services.

Burial will be at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis.

Pallbearers are Glenn and Steve Reeves, Josh and Jed Singleterry, Matthew Pogue and Logan Clemmer.

Honorary pallbearer is Hunter Willett.

Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis.
