Students will participate again this year in Operation Christmas Child. It is the largest event of its kind, providing Christmas gifts to children around the world.

Last year we collected over 300 boxes filled with Christmas joy. This year we are asking each family to participate by giving one shoebox filled with toys, clothes, toothbrushes, etc. Of course, you may also do more than one box. Please contact the office for more information and a brochure you will need to help you pack your shoebox.

At a glance

Friday: Fall Party, 12:30 p.m. School dismisses at 1 p.m. Varsity football versus Midland Trinity at Conqueror Field 2 p.m.

Nov. 5: School program at 7 p.m. featuring the students performing plays from their drama classes and patriotic material from their music classes.

Nov. 6: Varsity football versus Holy Cross at Conqueror Field, noon.

Nov. 15: Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes are due.

Nov. 22-23: Pre-K and Kindergarten will attend school these days this week because of the Thanksgiving holiday.

Nov. 23: Annual Thanksgiving meal for students and staff. For Pre-k through fourth grade the cost is $4 and for grades 5-12 and staff the cost is $5. The meal is also available for the parents who have signed up to help with this meal, and the cost for the parents is also $5. School will dismiss at 1 p.m. for Thanksgiving break with school resuming on Nov. 29.
