Mrs. Iola V. Rawls, 84, of Clovis, died Thursday, Oct. 21, 2004, at the Retirement Ranch in Clovis.

She was born on Sept. 3, 1919, in Dora, to Vane and Dee Victor.

She was a member of Sandia Baptist Church and a Pink Lady at Plains Regional Medical Center. She was a longtime resident of Clovis.

Family members said she loved and was devoted to her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Rawls; a sister, Frankie Saint; and three brothers, Arthur, Jim and Jack Victor.

Survivors include a son, James Rawls (and wife, Mary Alice) of Wann, Okla.; two sisters, Betty Kyte of Portales and Joann Hemingway of Houston; three brothers, Ken Victor and Bill Victor, both of Dora, and Benny Victor of Portales; three grandchildren, Toye Harris of Miami, Okla., Terri Rawls of Huntsville, Texas, and Tonya Sands of Enid, Okla.; three great-grandchildren, Gage Harris and Carter and Carver Sands.

Gary Mitchell will officiate the services.

Burial will be at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Baptist Children’s Home in Portales.

Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis.
