Anniversaries

Fechter

Harold and Blanche Fechter, of Clovis, celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on Sept. 26, 2004, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Clovis.

The celebration was hosted by friends of the couple.

The couple was married on Oct. 1, 1939, in Kanona, Kan.

He is a retired accountant, a Red Coat at the hospital and member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

She is a retired housewife, a Pink Lady at the hospital and member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

They have five children; 19 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and a great-great grandchild.

Faul

Arlington and Louise Faul, of Clovis, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Oct. 1, 2004, at their home.

The couple was married on Oct. 1, 1954, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

They have a son, Mike Faul; and a grandson, Josh.

He is retired from the Air Force.

She worked at the Cannon Air Force Base hospital and is now retired.

Engagements

Chavez-Rapp

Paul and June Chavez of Clovis announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Ami Chavez to Benjamin Rapp, both of Twentynine Palms, Calif., son of Martin and Mary Lou Rapp, also of Twentynine Palms.

The couple will exchange vows Oct. 9, 2004, at 5 p.m. (PDT) at Knott Sky Park in California

The reception will be at the Rapp residence.

The bride-elect and the prospective groom are both 2004 graduates of Twentynine Palms High School.

They are both in the U.S. Navy delayed entry program.

Invitations have been sent.

Barnett-Baron

Muril and Pearl Barnett announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Jessica Barnett to Nicholas Baron, all of Clovis, son of Randa Sena, also of Clovis, and Jean Barn of Farmington.

The couple will exchange vows on Oct. 5, 2004, at a justice of the peace in Clovis.

The reception will be at the couple’s home.

The bride-elect is a 1997 graduate of Clovis High School.

The prospective groom is a 1999 graduate of Clovis High School.

They are students at Clovis Community College.

Shuckman-Fox

George and Anne Shuckman of Clovis announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Ashley Shuckman of Plano, Texas, to Jeff Fox, of McKinney, Texas, son of Gaynell Vera of Lake Charles, La., and J.B. Fox of Plano.

The couple will exchange vows at 11 a.m. on Oct. 16, 2004, at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano.

The reception will be in the church atrium.

The bride-elect is a 1995 graduate of Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas.

She is employed at the Hartford Insurance Co. in Plano.

The prospective groom is a 1989 graduate of McNeese State University in Lake Charles.

He is employed at GBS Group in Addison, Texas.

Weddings

Prock

Angela Gail Franklin and Joshua Don Prock, both of Norman, Okla., were joined in marriage on July 31, 2004, at the First Baptist Church in Sulphur, Okla.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. Elbert and Cathy Franklin of Sulphur.

The groom is the son of Dr. Jim, former pastor of Central Baptist Church in Clovis, and Julie Prock of Blanchard, Okla.

Kristen Franklin, Misty Ellis, Amy Toomey, Ginger Mackey, and Julie Day were bridesmaids.

Jay, Jared and Jonathan Prock, Matt Chandler and Kyle Bailey were groomsmen.

The bride graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University with a degree in music education.

The groom graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor’s degree in history and a master’s degree in human relations.

The couple will reside in Norman.

The bride teaches choir in Blanchard.

The groom is the director of basketball operations for the men’s team at the University of Oklahoma.
