Movie

Debby and Burton Smith have recently bought the Charlie Neeley two-story house in Elida. The film group of a movie called, Believe in Me, has decided the house would be great as part of this movie and are planning to shoot some of it soon when the weather clears. If you would like to watch, go by there sometime and see how it is done. They had planned to start on Thursday, but it depends on the weather.

Volleyball

Thursday, all teams will play Floyd here starting at 4 p.m. On Monday all teams will play Dora here starting at 4:30 p.m. Come out and support your teams.

Bible studies

The women’s bible study will be each Monday night at 6 p.m. All ladies are invited to come to the Baptist Church to share this study together.

Around town

Our sympathies to the family of Peggy Hicks for their recent loss, she was the mother of Jody Winders of Elida.

Shirley and Billy Bailey have recently moved to Roswell. Granny Laura Wilson got to share the twin granddaughters for a few days.

We hear that Tony McGee is in rehab in Clovis.

The Senior Citizens recently received a visit on Wednesday from the leaders of RSVP out of Portales. They shared lunch and a lot of new information.

Our prayer list includes the Graves families, those in area nursing homes, our overseas personnel and the leaders of our governments.
