NMMI beats Wildcats in soccer

ROSWELL — New Mexico Military Institute scored the game’s final two goals and beat Clovis 5-3 on Tuesday in a non-district boys soccer game.

The Wildcats (2-2) tied the scored at 3 all on Scott Elliott’s breakaway goal off a Kendall Essex pass midway through the second half.

Essex scored Clovis’ first goal on a penalty kick in the first half and sophomore Jayme Nauman also added his sixth goal of the season for the Wildcats.

Josh Bussen made 10 save goal for the Wildcats.
