Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:
Police responded to a heist of lollipops on Aug. 12 at a store on the 700 block of 21st Street. A store clerk told police an unidentified female lifted several lollipops and left the premises in a car going east.
Apparently the heist occurred at the front counter, where another person had witnessed the female suspect stuffing her purse with lollipops. When the clerk observed the lollipop grab she told the subject to return the items or she would call the police.
The female bolted out the front door and went to the back of the building where a red car was waiting.
No arrests have been made in connection to the lollipop grab.

Police were dispatched on Aug. 11 to the 1700 block of Mabry Drive, where they had be advised of ongoing narcotics sales. Police knocked on the door where the illicit activity had been witnessed.
A female subject answered the door, but once she saw the officer she partially closed it again. Police took this to mean she was concealing the contents of her room. Once police established there were no other subjects in the room, they asked for her name. At this point she slammed the door which automatically locked.
Police suspected the subject was actively destroying evidence of narcotics and narcotics use. Police made the decision to try to enter the room by force, kicking the door twice and causing some damage to the frame.
Once they entered, police put the woman in handcuffs and searched the room, where they found some large white chunks floating in the sink they believed to be illegal drugs.
The subject was seen further obstructing the search process by pushing a piece of drug paraphernalia under a chair with her foot.
She was arrested for resisting a police officer and booked into the county jail.
