8/8 police blotter

Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:

A woman contacted police Wednesday after she was unable to find her car for four days.

The woman who owned the vehicle — which had $2,200 in the front seat — said while intoxicated a few days earlier at a Prince Street bar she may have lent the keys out to someone, but she wasn’t sure.

A witness said she saw the father of the woman’s children driving the car the night it turned up missing.

The woman said she did not want to press charges if it was the father who took the vehicle.

The case remains active.

Police responded to an apartment complex on Martin Luther King Boulevard on Wednesday in reference to a located stolen vehicle.

A woman who reported her car stolen said her brother called her from his home and had located her car.

The car had been damaged and there was clothing and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.

A witness told the woman she saw a large male exit the vehicle at an earlier time.

Imprinted in dust inside the vehicle was the phrase: “X.E.M.B-360-Blood Tastics Yen.” Police did not immediately return a phone call Saturday to identify the meaning of the phrase.

Police took the clothing and drug paraphernalia into evidence and released the car to the woman. Police could not locate the large male.
