Mr. C. Charles Morgan, 71, of Clovis, died Saturday, July 10, 2004, at his home.

He was born on Nov. 17, 1932, in Anton, Texas, to the Rev. C.C. and Willie Lee Reese Morgan.

He graduated from Anton High School in 1951 and Hardin-Simmons University in 1955. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 13 years and retired after 37 years as a lab technician at the Medical Center in Clovis for Dr. Moss, Dr. Abshere and Dr. Boese. He was a member of Central Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon for several years. He had also served as a deacon at Forrest Heights Baptist Church. Family members said he loved to sing in the choirs of his churches and loved to sing in the Christmas programs at Central.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Thomas R. Morgan; two sisters, Lila Lea Shockley and Marjorie Snider.

Survivors include three sisters, Bonnie Tidwell (and husband, Ray) of Clovis, Patricia Watson (W.T.) of Muleshoe, Texas and Wanda Wilson (David) of Dallas; and several nieces and nephews.

The Rev. Roy Stewart will officiate the services.

Burial will be at Texico Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be made to New Mexico Boys’ Ranches.
