Anita Kay Bass, 69

Anita Kay Bass, 69, of Azle, Texas, died Saturday, July 3, 2004, in Fort Worth, Texas.

She was born on Nov. 23, 1934, in Estelline, Texas, to Andy Clinton and Ruth Wright Dunlap.

She was raised on a farm, loved music and the outdoors. She graduated from Morton (Texas) High School and was a long-time resident of Muleshoe, where she was involved in farming. She moved to Azle and worked as an office manager in the trucking industry. Family members said she was devoted to family, and enjoyed being with her many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include a special companion, Lee Jones of Azle; four daughters, Mitzi Miller (and husband, Dink) of Floyd, Sheryl Engelking (Dave) of Lazbuddie, Texas, Treena Herington (Keith) of San Marcos, Texas, and Cara Palmer (Don) of Tulsa, Okla.; a brother, Benny Dunlap (Anonie) of Amarillo; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many relatives.

Services have been held. Burial will be in Springtown Cemetery in Springtown, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice House, 1111 Summit Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas 76102.

Arrangements are by White’s Funeral Home of Springtown.
