Mr. Stanley A. Goslin, 73, of Portales, retired military, died Monday, June 28, 2004, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis.
He was born on July 29, 1930, in Merriman, Neb., to Percy and May Bell Goslin.
He retired from the U.S. Air Force on June 1, 1973, after 30 years of active duty. He proudly served his country and was the recipient of several medals during his service, including the WWII Victory, Korean Service, Vietnam, Army of Occupation (Japan), Air, Accomodation, Combat Readiness, Good Conduct, American Campaign, National Defense Service, and United Nations Service medals, family members said. He was on the Roosevelt County Senior Olympics Planning Committee for three years, and was Secretary of Roosevelt County AARP Chapter 4301. Family members said he was known for his extreme love of animals and he loved sharing his dry wit with friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Blanche Buchan and Helen Parker; three brothers, Aden, Max and Ellis Goslin.
Survivors include his wife, Millie Goslin of the home; a brother, Ralph Goslin of Jacksonville, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews.
Marlin Poyner will officiate the services.
Burial will be at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis.
