Ola McCasland, 92
Ola Mae McCasland, 92, of Portales, died Wednesday, May 26, 2004, at Carillon House in Lubbock.
She was born on March 18, 1912, in Portales, to Della and Sam Harris.
She grew up in the Rogers Community and graduated from Rogers High School. She worked for the local telephone company for a short time. She married Taylor McCasland, and they lived in Red River for a short time before returning to Portales in 1962. She spent most of her life as a homemaker and was known as a caring person.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Leon and Orville Harris; and two sisters, Virgie Littlejohn and Una Smith.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Wheeler Mortuary Chapel in Portales. Dr. Herbert Bergstrom will officiate the services.
Burial will be at Portales Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Wheeler Mortuary of Portales.
