Program of Academic Exchange
Kari Hunt of Clovis has been appointed Community Coord-inator for this region by PAX, Program of Academic Exchange.
PAX is a non-profit educational organization which invites international high school students to the United States for an academic homestay.
Hunt said, “All PAX students have been carefully screened, speak English, have full medical insurance, and come with their own spending money.
“We work with students from 35 different countries, including those in Eastern Europe, Asia, South America and Africa.”
United States Achievement Academy
The United States Achieve-ment Academy announced that Claire Simpson of Clovis has been named a United States National award winner in mathematics
She attends Yucca Junior High School and was nominated for this award by her teacher, Deborah Watters. She is the daughter of Carl and Lilibeth Simpson of Clovis.
