The call has gone out for goodies — lots of goodies.
“We are going to have an Easter egg hunt and carnival, and we are looking for donations,” said Ernie Kos, executive director of the Clovis-Curry County Chamber of Commerce.
She spoke to members of the Chamber board of directors recently about the need for items to fill plastic eggs, to be given away at the event.
The egg hunt and carnival are planned for 10 a.m. to noon April 9 at Clovis Community College. The event will be open to all youngsters up to age 12.
April Chavez, who is co-chairing the Social Committee at CCC with Autumn Moore, said the penny carnival games will include cake walk, clown toss, duck pond, face painting, fishing, dunking booth, basketball toss and ring toss.
Elementary school principals are being invited to be dunked. Proceeds at the dunk tank will go to their schools, Chavez said.
Plastic eggs, candy and small prizes for the children are needed for the egg hunt. Local businesses are asked either to donate the money to purchase the items, or to donate the items themselves.
Those desiring to help are asked to call April Chavez or Autumn Moore at the college at 769-4747.
