The Region V Drug Task Force arrested two people accused of drug trafficking last weekend, Sgt. Jay Longley said.
The Clovis Police Department called task force officers to La Quinta Inn on Feb. 20 and arrested Terrance Jones, 21, on a charge of possession with intent to traffic a controlled substance. Jones was jailed in lieu of a $25,000 cash or surety bond, court records show.
On Feb. 22, task force agents responded to the corner of 14th and Norris streets to assist the Clovis Police Department’s canine unit with a search warrant. During the search, agents found about a half-ounce of methamphetamine, a small amount of marijuana, and $833 in cash and arrested Teresa Robbs, 44.
Robbs has been charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of less than one ounce of marijuana, court records show.
Robbs is also facing trial in August in Curry County district court on charges of manufacturing methamphetamine.
Robbs has been released on $32,500 surety bond, but she could not be reached for comment.
