Juana “Corina” Turrietta Zamora, 63, a resident of Mountainair and Clovis, died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2004, in Mountainair.
She was born on May 26, 1940, in Manzano, to Manuel and Cornelia Romero Turrietta.
She married Luis Zamora in February 1965 in Vaughn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Juan Jose Turrietta; and a son, Juan Bautista Zamora.
Survivors include her husband; four sons, Ralph Zamora of Clovis, Gene Zamora (and wife, Roberta “Birdie” Arias) of Manzano, Pedro Zamora (Consuelo Quintana) of Clovis and Richard Zamora (Catrina) of Amarillo; five daughters, Mary Ann “Bungie” Ramirez (George) of Manzano, Grace Anna Zamora Lajuenesse (Joe) of Manzano, Consuelo “Gordie” Zamora of Clovis, Maria “Tonie” Zamora of Mountainair and Melissa “Mela” Zamora, (Ray) Garcia of Mountainair; a sister, Gloria Henshaw of Albuquerque; 22 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Florian Renaud officiated the services.
Burial was at Manzano Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Gene and Larry Zamora, Georgie Ramirez, Joseph Lajuenesse, Mike Gallegos and Ray Garcia.
Honorary pallbearers are Pedro, Ralph and Richard Zamora, Joe Lajuenesse, Eli and George Ramirez Sr., Will Arias, Orlando Chavez, Edward Lopez and Paul Coddin.
Arrangements were by Harris-Hanlon Mortuary of Mountainair.
