Helen Marie Ramzy, 56, of Portland, Ore., died Monday, Dec. 29, 2003, at Providence St. Vincent’s Hospital in Portland.

She was born on Jan. 11, 1947, in Clovis, to James and Helen Moorer.

She lived in Clovis until 1967. She married Leon H. Ramzy in 1978. She was employed as a day care provider at Grace Collins and Louise Memorial Day Care.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two sisters, Mary Moorer and Hazel Fradue; and two brothers, Johnny Ray Moorer and Leroy Teal.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mia’Toynia and Sheila Ramzy, both of Portland; three grandchildren; five brothers, Jewell Moorer, Eddie Sims and A.J. Moorer, all of Portland, James Moorer Jr. of St. Paul, Minn., and Billy Gene Moorer of Clovis; and four sisters, Clarice Barber of Portland, Dorothy Shaw of Clovis, and Iretta Anderson and Inetta Freeman, both of Roswell.

Grace C. Osborne officiated the services.

Burial was at Riverview Cemetery in Portland.

Arrangements were by Cox and Cox Funeral Chapel of Portland.
