Serving Clovis, Portales and the Surrounding Communities

New marketing director 'proud to be on board'

Holly Glenn has been named coordinator of marketing and events for Freedom Newspapers of New Mexico.

Glenn will be in charge of coordinating public events for all FNNM enterprises and for developing key marketing strategies for all news departments and for Freedom Printing, said Ray Sullivan, senior publisher for the Clovis News Journal, Portales News-Tribune and Quay County Sun.

Glenn was marketing director at North Plains Mall from May 2000 until last February. She worked as an administrative assistant for the Clovis-Curry County Chamber of Commerce from February 1999 to May 2000.

She graduated from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Okla., in December 1998 with a degree in apparel merchandising.

She was born and raised in Clovis, the daughter of Larry and Virginia Glenn.

“We wanted the marketing and events coordinator position to help us provide more and better quality events to the communities we serve, along with helping us to better inform the communities about our products. The knowledge of the community along with her marketing background made Holly a natural choice,” said advertising director Tammy Farkas.

“This is a great opportunity. Freedom Newspapers of New Mexico is heading in the right direction and I’m proud to be on board,” Glenn said.
