Tickets are available for “Cruise Into 2004,” this year’s Clovis/Curry County Chamber of Commerce banquet.
The banquet is scheduled for Jan. 16 at The Landing at Cannon Air Force Base. A social hour will be held at 6:30 p.m. followed by dinner at 7 p.m., chamber officials said.
The banquet’s highlight will be the presentation of the chamber’s annual awards, including the 2003 Citizen of the Year, 2003 Volunteer of the Year, 2003 Business of the Year, 2003 Ambassador of the Year and the 2003 Heart Award.
Tickets are $25 each or $250 per table. Deadline for purchase is 5 p.m. Jan. 13. Tickets are available at the chamber offices at 215 Main St. or by phone at 763-3435.
Hastings Entertainment Inc. has scheduled a series of grand-opening ceremonies for its new store in Clovis, a company press release said.
Grand-opening events will include a ribbon cutting hosted by the Clovis/Curry County Chamber of Commerce at 9 a.m. Friday, at which the store will present Clovis Community College’s Adult Basic Education Program with a $1,000 donation. On Jan. 17, the store will give away 12 DVD players during a live remote with KTQM-FM. On Jan. 24, the first 50 people through the door, starting at 9 a.m., will receive a free Hastings gift card valued between $10 and $50, the press release said.
