Lottie Jones, 96, a homemaker, died Friday, Dec. 26, 2003, at her home at the Buena Vista Retirement Center in Clovis.

She was born Nov. 25, 1907, in Hardin County, Tenn., to Ludlow and Bertha Sisson Barris.

She married Jesse VanBuran Jones on Oct. 11, 1924, in Oklahoma. A family member said she was a very loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. The family will be at 123 E. Yucca.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Mary Ella Miller; two sisters, Daisey Lee Barris and Iva Stanphill; and a brother, Paul Barris.

Survivors include two daughters, Laura (and husband Travis) Tate and Glenda (and David) Johns, all of Clovis; a son, Wendell Jones of Clovis; six sisters, Goldie Cherry and Sybil White, both of Silver City, Addie Truitt and Ozie Cantrell, both of Sherman, Texas, Mary Lou Griswold of Casper, Wyo. and Edith McCaskell; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
