Minnie Bell “Billie” Brian, 87, of Clovis, died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2003, at Laurel Plains Nursing and Rehabilitation in Clovis.

She was born on Feb. 12, 1916, in Kenefic, Okla. to Elie and Siney Anderson Washington.

She came to Clovis in 1987. She worked for Howard Hughes, Hughes Aircraft as an administrative assistant and director for classified information. She was a member of Central Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening.

She is preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Evelyn Flippo; and a brother, Fred Washington.

She is survived by two brothers, Lawrence Washington of Bonham, Texas, and Harry Lee Washington of Topeka, Kan.; two nieces, Cleta Bridges of Clovis, and Billie Hurruff of Dalhart, Texas; and a nephew, Clyde Gudgle of Durant, Okla.

Cremation has taken place.

Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis.
