Mrs. Mary Jones, 87, of Texico, died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2003, at Farwell Convalescent Center.

She was born on Oct. 2, 1915, in Wise County, Texas, to George and Margaret Pennington Goforth.

She married Frank Jones on Feb. 4, 1933, in Decatur, Texas. She had two sets of twin sisters. She and one of her twin sisters married twin brothers. She was a resident of Texico since 1933. She operated Rexair Sales & Service. Family members said she never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew her. She was a member of the Farwell Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four brothers, Charlie, Bill, Henry and Woody; and four sisters, Malvie Ham, Nannie Goforth, Annie Rose Jones and Kathrine Cote.

Survivors include a brother, Joe Goforth of Texico; four sisters, Margie Goforth of Texico and Pollie Duncan, Ollie Hannah and Lou Reese, all of Amarillo; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Phillip Steyn will officiate the services. Burial will be at Texico Cemetery. Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home in Clovis.
