Jack Carrington Pawol, 66, of Clovis, a retired pharmacist, died Saturday, July 5, 2003, in Lubbock, Texas.

He was born Dec. 8, 1936, in Clovis to Stanley and Maxine McCombs Pawol.

He received his bachelor of science degree from Notre Dame and his master’s degree in pharmacology from the University of New Mexico. He established pharmacies in Hawaii and New Mexico and was a member of the New Mexico Pharmacists Association

He married Nola Marsh on March 7, 1981, in Clovis. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Family members said he enjoyed cooking, family, friends, golf and Notre Dame football.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Jim Pawol; and a sister, Ann Butler.

He is survived by his wife; three sons, James Pawol of Richland, Wash., Christopher Pawol of Amarillo, and Eric Marsh (and wife Betsy) of Washington, D.C.; three daughters, Zena Davidson (and Pat) of Libertyville, Ill., Mendy Marsh of New York City, N.Y., and Amanda Ford (and Elliott) of Clovis; one sister, Sandra Overack (and husband Dan) of Broken Arrow, Okla.; and five grandchildren.

Rosary service will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Father Sotero Sena will officiate the services.

At Mr. Pawol’s request, his body was donated to the University of New Mexico Medical School.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Sacred Heart building fund, 911 Merriwether, Clovis; or to the Plains Regional Medical Center Home Health Hospice, 1600 W. 21st St., Clovis.
