Mr. David Michael Wilt, 47, of Clovis, died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2003, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis.
He was born on Dec. 23, 1955, in Ardmore, Okla., to Peter Charles and Anita Kipp Wilt.
He came to Clovis in 1960 and graduated from Clovis High School in 1973. He was a mechanic at Prince Marine in Clovis. Family members said he enjoyed racing dirt bikes and go-karts and loved the mountains and golfing with his dad.
He is survived by one son, Kane Michael Wilt of Hereford; his parents; four sisters, Dr. Leslie Rebtoy (and husband, Scott) of Tulsa, Okla., Barbara Hardin (Dudley) of Clovis, Diane Wilt (Greg Ollom) of Dallas, and Nora Gaddis (Justin) of Monahans, Texas; two brothers, Pete M. Wilt (Shari) of Hereford and Larry Wilt (Lisa) of Ruidoso.
The Rev. Richard Burke will officiate the services.
Cremation has taken place.
Honorary pallbearers will include Jarrell Williams, Harry K. Smith, Steve Chambers, Wynn McDonald and Chuck Childers.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hereford, Texas, Volunteer Fire Department.
