Mrs. Goldie “Golda” Gray, 87, of Clovis, a retired sales clerk for JC Penned, dies Saturday, June 21, 2003, in Clovis.

She was born on Dec. 15, 1915, in Strawn, Texas, to John W. and Eula Belle Stockbridge Stages.

She married Johnnie A. Gray in 1934. She was a member of the First Christian Churches in Clovis, Sayre, Okla., and Amarillo, the Order of Eastern Star in Elk City, Okla., and Clovis Senior Citizens.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a sister, Bernice McBryde; and a brother, John W. Stages.

She is survived by a daughter, Nita Worsham (and husband, Milton) of Mesquite, Texas; a sister, Jean McBryde of Lubbock; a brother, Carl Stages (and wife, Claire Ann) of Jeanerette, La.; a grandson, Jonathan Worsham of Sunnyvale, Texas; a sister-in-law, Myrtle Stages of Shamrock, Texas; and two brothers-in-law, Charlie Gary (and wife, Zella Mae) of Pampa, Texas, and Jesse Gray (and wife, Georgia) of Fort Cobb, Okla.

Visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at Steed-Todd Funeral Home in Clovis.

The Rev. Jon Forrest will officiate the services.

Burial will be at Sayre-Doxey Cemetery in Sayre, Okla.

Honorary pall bearers are Jesse and Randy Kamradt, Jonathan Worsham, h Carmeir, JR Archuleta, her nephews, and members of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 89 in Elk City and the Masonic Lodge.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Masonic Children's Home in Fort Worth, Texas, or the New Mexico Children’s Home.
