Mrs. Georgia Vera “Granny” Taylor, 96, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, May 21, 2003.

She was born on Jan. 16, 1907, in Mill Creek, Okla., to William and Francis Duke Tolar.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters; two brothers, a daughter; and a son.

She is survived by a daughter, Betty Ward of Clovis; a son, B.J. “Jerry” Taylor of Amarillo; 20 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
