Internet abounds with good movie information
Seen any good movies lately?
Summertime is always a good time for exciting and entertaining films to hit the big screen.
Sometimes, though, there seems to be too many choices. Don’t you just hate it when you finally decide to see a particular movie — and then discover that it’s a real dud. It seems like, especially of late, that when the film studios are promoting their new creations — they oftentimes show all of the best scenes from the film, in the previews.
That’s pretty sad.
Visit this site and utilize its resources and you’ll be much better prepared for your movie watching endeavors. Reviews, box office results, trailers, and much, much more are available on this site. You’ll even get to see Arnold back in the saddle again, battling it out with a female terminator — let me tell you, she’s really mean, reminds me of my ex-wife.
-- Speaking of celebrities — with no disrespect intended, they seem to be dropping like flies lately. Seems like just about every other day for the past few months, we’ve been hearing about a famous television personality, movie star, or musician passing away.
Check in on this Web site frequently and you’ll be kept up to date on celebrity expirations. I checked the site a couple of times this week and they seem to do a good job of staying on top of things — although they did miss someone that I consider important. He may not have been an “official” celebrity — but come on, the man who helped introduce Americans to Coolwhip, Tang and Grey Poupon — deserves a little recognition, doesn’t he? Estel Wood “Ed” Kelley passed away on the Fourth of July — you can read all about him at the Fox News Web site by hopping over to:
and typing in “Kelley” in the search box at the top of the page.
By the way, the celebrity deaths page is maintained by Wikipedia — a free online encyclopedia — and that Web site bears exploring, you can go to it directly by typing:
I was real sorry to hear about the recent passing of Buddy “Uncle Jed” Ebsen” — the man had a very full life though and lived to be the ripe old age of 95. If all you know about Ebsen is that he was a television star, then you need to hop on over to:
and learn more about him. Dancer, writer and artist — are just a few of the additional titles that Ebsen could truthfully lay claim to, a very versatile person he was.
-- Are you a college student? Even if you aren’t, but might be contemplating movin’ up to a “school of higher learnin’ will be the featured topics on “Creative Living” at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday and noon Thursday” — you just might want to check out:
Appears to be a pretty useful Web site for college students — hey, at least it’s laid out real well and has pretty pictures on it.
-- Finally, I want to talk about the weather — well sort of. I’ve mentioned a number of different Web sites in the past that provide weather information, but I have made an omission for which I apologize. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration does a superb job of providing all kinds of weather-related information, and it certainly bears having its Web site explored, just go to:
You’ll be glad you did.
