Mrs. Lola Fay Foster, 62, of Fort Sumner, died Wednesday, June 18, 2003, at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque.
She was born on April 13, 1941, in Cuervo, to Johnny and Edna Harrison Cones.
She moved to Fort Sumner in 1943 where she attended school. She married Dick Foster on Aug. 30, 1958, in Clovis. Family members said she enjoyed fishing, cooking and gardening.
She was a member of the Baptist Church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Loyd Cones; and a sister, Grace Foster.
She is survived by her husband; two sons, Lee Foster (and wife, Karen) and Bobby Foster (and wife, DeAnna), all of Fort Sumner; 11 grandchildren, Travis Foster (and wife, Vanessa), Lewis Meadows, Stacy Brown (and husband, Carl), Stephanie Barton, Jessica Barton and Racheal Chavez, all of Fort Sumner, Christopher Meadows of Roswell, Brandon Foster and Royce Foster (and wife, Verneda), all of Clovis, and Elizabeth McConnell and Christina McConnell, both of Corona; one great-grandchild, Tianna Lopez of Fort Sumner; two sisters Annie Mae Finney and Lois Roper; a brother, Clarence Cones; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of relatives and friends.
Anna Teeter officiated the services.
Pallbearers were Jon Trotter, Dub Head, Joe Gammill, Justin Ingram, Clifford Gunn and Kelly Olguin.
Honorary pallbearer was A.J. Harden.
Arrangements were by Chavez Funeral Home of Fort Sumner.
