Charles Nassif

Services: From 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at French Mortuary, University Boulevard Chapel in Albuquerque.

Mr. Charles A. Nassif, 56, of Montego Bay, Jamaica, died Tuesday, June 10, 2003, on his yacht in Montego Bay.

He was born on March 1, 1947.

He graduated from Highland High School and Eastern New Mexico University. He served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam era and was a service officer with the VFW. He was a member of the Montego Bay Yacht Club and a theoretical physicist for the University of the West Indies. Family members said that one of his proudest accomplishments was having a record of going 469 days wearing shorts and a T-shirt.

He is survived by his wife, Jan Nassif of Montego Bay; a son, Charles K. Nassif (and wife, Carol) of Fife, Wash.; a daughter, Elizabeth Parker (and husband, Alan) of Portales; two brothers, Fred Nassif and Martin Nassif, both of Florida; and four grandchildren, Brittany and Shawna Parker and Anastacia and Troy Nassif.

Cremation will follow visitation at Sunset Memorial Park in Albuquerque.

Arrangements are by French Mortuary of Albuquerque.
