Reba Ferne Zorns, 89, of Austin, Texas, died Saturday, June 7, 2003, in Cedar Park, Texas.

She was born Jan. 16, 1914, in Gray, Okla., to John M. and Laura Denton Elmore.

She moved to Perryton, Texas, where she finished high school. She lived in Brownfield from 1944 until 1955 where she had her own beauty shop. From 1955 until 1959 she lived in Hereford, Texas, then she moved to Clovis until 1994. She married Thomas D. Zorns in 1941 in Plainview, Texas. She was a member of Kingswood Methodist Church where she counseled divorced men and women and was named Woman of the Month for her work. She was a Pink Lady and later president of the Hospital Auxiliary. She moved to Austin in 1994.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Max Boyd; and a daughter, Norma Jo Worsham.

She is survived by a son, Donald R. Boyd of Leander, Texas; three grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Burial will be at Brownfield Cemetery.
