    During the Roosevelt County Fair Entry Day on Monday, artists of a range of ages entered paintings, drawings and photographs into the photography and fine arts shows.     I saw a comment posted on the Internet this week, asking about fond memories from school. It caused me to think and really reflect on what memories I had from school.   • Two people reported dead in accident on U.S. 70

    Freedom New Mexico Two people were killed Monday afternoon when a Ford Explorer collided with a privately-owned garbage truck near the Curry-Roosevelt county line on U.S. 70. State police spokesman Sgt. Tim Johnson said a 57-year-old woman and 84-year-old man, both in the Explorer, died at the scene just before 4 p.m. The deceased were not identified pending notification of relatives.
