    Cannon Connections staff Three awards were given in the Foreign Object Damage program for the month of June. Tech Sgt. Patricia Dees said the FOD program is intended to bring awareness to potential FOD hazards and prevent damage to aircraft or equipment and it is open to all active duty and civilians assigned to Cannon. There are three categories and no more than five winners a month. The winners receive a one-day pass for active duty or a certificate for civilians from the Vice Wing Commander, Col. Kirk Smith. He said the school holds games regularly and many annual events as well. Floyd, a small village with just over 100 people, has existed in eastern New Mexico since Roosevelt County was established in 1900, according to 82-year resident Alvis Griffith.
