    Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports: Around 2 a.m. July 10 officers responded to a business in the area of Llano Estacado Boulevard and Prince Street for a report of a drunk driver. Witnesses said someone who appeared intoxicated had purchased beer and then drove from the store, was all over the road and drove over the curb before parking in a nearby neighborhood.   • Rider breaks wrist before rodeo

    Savanna Winn of Seminole, Texas, broke her wrist in a crash before barrel racing Saturday at the High Plains Junior Rodeo Finals held at the Curry County Events Center. HPJR Association President Mike Macy of Post, Texas, said Winn’s horse slipped, fell down on her and broke her wrist. Macy said she was airlifted to a Lubbock hospital, where Winn was in stable condition.... Full story
