    Curry County joined Roosevelt County as turquoise counties Wednesday as the state unveiled its latest “Red to Green” data for COVID-19 mitigation. Since Nov. 30, the state has compiled data every two weeks based on whether counties have met the gating criteria of 8 daily cases per 100,000 residents and test positivity of 5% or lower.     Former Texas Tech basketball coach Chris Beard released a statement Monday thanking Red Raiders fans for their “unwavering support throughout the years” and calling himself “forever grateful” for his time spent on the Tech staff.     SANTA FE — Sales of over-the-counter fishing and hunting licenses for the 2021-2022 license year have started, according to a release from the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish. As of April 1, anglers need a 2021-22 fishing license. Anglers will need a 2021-2022 fishing license beginning April 1.     WICHITA, Kan. — Former Portales Ram and Kansas Wesleyan freshman Julian Urioste was honored Monday by the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference as its defensive player of the week.
