    J.J. Jumbo Burger is a staple in Portales. Pete Paiz has been running J.J. Jumbo Burgers for 15 years. He bought the restaurant from his father, Johnny Paiz, who owned the business for 20 years before he sold it. Back then it was called Jose’s. Altogether the business has been in the Paiz family for 35 years.     The public is invited to comment on a draft feasibility study evaluating possible long-term partnerships between Eastern New Mexico University and New Mexico State Parks at the Blackwater Draw site. A meeting to allow the public to ask questions and provide input is set for 6 p.m. today in the Sandia Room of the ENMU Campus Union Building.     This year’s Ag Expo attracted 3,700 attendees and 600 vendors, the event’s organizer said. Event manager Sharon King, Roosevelt County Chamber of Commerce executive director, also said most vendors were happy with the turn out and their sales. Several have already reserved space for next year. “I think it was definitely a success,” King said of the 17th annual expo. King said planning for next year’s event would start within a few weeks.     Portales will become home to an algae farm that produces biofuel and an estimated 100 new jobs for the region if the U.S. Senate passes a proposed budget bill.     Police arrested Michael Ruiz, 19, of Portales Wednesday for the robbery and beating of two men walking on the Eastern New Mexico University campus last weekend. Portales Police Capt. Lonnie Berry said a warrant was issued for the arrest of another man in the mugging, but the suspect remains at large. Berry said the two men were beaten and their wallets and cell phones were stolen while walking on the ENMU campus about 10 p.m. Saturday.
