    A Clovis man Thursday was found guilty of two counts of battery on a peace officer by a Curry County jury. Francisco Arzola, 46, was accused of punching one officer in the neck and scratching another officer as they attempted to serve a warrant against him in 2021. The warrant was for failure to pay fines, according to a news release from 9th Judicial District Attorney Quentin Ray. Arzola is to be sentenced later this month.     The Curry County Commission on Monday unanimously approved an infrastructure capital improvement plan for the La Casa Senior Center. K.C.     The state Supreme Court Monday upheld the intentional child abuse conviction of a Carlsbad man for the death of his 8-year-old daughter, whose body he dumped in a trash can.
