New store makes busy weekend at mall

With a new Marshalls store opening in the North Plains Mall, management described the shopping center as “busy” the weekend before Thanksgiving.

“It was busy, everybody was happy that Marshalls was open,” Mall General Manager Leeann Glen said.

Glen described the mall’s southwest parking lot as “almost full.”

Marshalls is the mall’s biggest attraction since Big R opened its farm and ranch retail space last October.

Ulta Beauty is expected to join the shopping center soon, though no opening date has been announced.

Glen this week declined to give details of another national chain store that’s also scheduled to move in next to Marshalls soon.
