Waterline break closes Portales High campus

Classes at Portales High School will be on remote learning Monday, according to a school news release.

The campus is closed due to a waterline break, the release stated.

School Superintendent Johnnie Cain said the leak is outside but it can't be isolated so water to the entire campus has to be turned off, necessitating the closing.

All other Portales school campuses are open, he said.
